ULTRAKTRAIL 32KM regulation

The track develops almost entirely on a path of about 70% single track - 25% off road - 5% asphalt. It is a 32km UltraTrail race with about 2000m of elevation gain.
CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION
To participate it is essential: to be 18 years old at the time of registration, whether registered or not, and to be in possession of a valid medical certification of competitive sports fitness for activities with a high cardiovascular commitment (B1, B2, B3, B4, B5 , B6). be fully aware of the length, the technical difficulties, the specificity of the test and be physically ready to face it having acquired, before the race, a real capacity for personal autonomy which allows you to manage the problems created by this type of test and in particular: knowing how to face without external help climatic conditions that could become difficult (wind, cold, rain or snow). knowing how to manage physical or mental problems deriving from fatigue, muscle or joint pain. be fully aware that for this activity in the natural environment, safety depends above all on the runner's ability to adapt to encountered or foreseeable problems.
SEMI SELF-SUFFICIENCY
Although there are "3 refreshment points" along the route, the principle of the individual race in semi-self-sufficiency is the rule. For which:
• each runner must carry all the obligatory material with him for the entire duration of the race.
• the refreshment points will be supplied with drinks and food to be consumed on the spot. Only natural water will be used to fill water bottles or water pockets
• each runner must have, at the start from each refreshment point, the quantity of water and food he will need to get to the next refreshment point
• it is forbidden to be accompanied for part or all of the race by a non-registered person.
"I DO NOT THROW MY RUBBISH" CAMPAIGN
UltraKtrail adheres to the campaign "I do not throw my waste". It is strictly forbidden to leave any type of material along the route. Non-compliance with this rule entails immediate disqualification from the competition. Special containers are provided in the refreshment areas where any waste can be thrown away. No plastic cups will be available at any refreshment point.
CONDITIONS FOR ENROLLMENT
The organization has not established a curriculum to participate in the UltraKtrail, but it is strongly recommended to have successfully concluded a Trail race of at least 25 km and 1500m of elevation gain. Registration must be performed online by filling in the appropriate form which certifies compliance with the conditions and made the payment. A specific medical certificate valid on the date of the race is mandatory to validate the registration sent no later than 01/06/2023. If the medical certificate is not received by this date, the enrollment will be canceled without reimbursement of the enrollment fee.
ACCEPTANCE OF THE REGULATION
Participation in UltraKtrail implies unreserved acceptance of this regulation. All competitors caught littering the course will be disqualified. In addition to being an anti-sporting behavior, it represents a deplorable environmental behavior as it causes phenomena of alteration of the flora and fauna.

BIBS
Each bib is issued individually to each competitor upon presentation of photo ID. The delivery of the bib will take place on Friday 02/06/2023 from 15:00 to 21:00 and will resume on Saturday 03/06/2023 at 07:30 with closing at 10:00.
The bib must be fully visible throughout the race.
SECURITY AND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
Along the way there will be several rescue workers located mostly near the most dangerous points. The various points are connected via radio or telephone with the coordinator of the race. Civil Protection, Alpine Rescue and Medical Assistance will be present on the route. The aid points are intended to give assistance to all people in real danger using the organization's own or conventional means. Any runner who finds himself in need can call for help:
-
Presenting yourself at an aid point
-
By calling the course coordinator directly
-
Asking another runner for help to call for help
-
The various assistance points will be indicated in the Road-book. The intervention of vehicles and people outside these points necessarily involves movement from the garrisons and temporary changes in the security arrangements.
The request for assistance must be justly motivated by concrete danger. Otherwise, or in cases where it is possible to reach the garrison independently, it is necessary to continue up to that point. The rescuers and official doctors are in particular authorized to stop the race (by deactivating the bib number) of any runner they deem unfit to continue the race and to evacuate the runners they deem in danger by any means deemed suitable. In case of need, for reasons that are in the interest of the rescued person, the Alpine Rescue will be called upon, which will take over the direction of operations and will put in place all the appropriate means, including the helicopter. The costs deriving from the use of these exceptional means will be borne by the rescued person. It will be the runner's responsibility to prepare and submit to his personal insurance the file necessary for any reimbursement. If it is impossible to contact the route coordinator, it is possible to call the emergency services directly (especially if you are in an area without telephone coverage). Tel. 118 for all of Italy.
CHECK POST AND REFUEL POINTS
There will be 3 supply points along the way. Are expected:
-
"Mandatory equipment" check before departure (for everyone)
-
Checking "mandatory material" at least in one point along the route (for everyone)
dand the "surprise" checkpoints can be positioned at the refreshment points or in other places outside the aid and refreshment points. Their location will not be communicated by the organization. In this case the riders will have to stop for the time necessary for the check before continuing. Only runners wearing a clearly visible bib will have access to the refreshment points. In addition to the organization's controls, it should be emphasized that the organization is AUTHORIZED TO STOP those it deems unsuitable to continue because they do not have suitable material.
MAXIMUM TIME AUTHORIZED AND TIME BARRIERS
The maximum time of the test, for the entire route, is set at 7 hours. The timetables (time barriers or gates) are indicated in the Road-book. These barriers are calculated to allow participants to reach the finish line within the maximum times set, making any stops in any case. To be authorized to continue the test, competitors must leave the checkpoint before the time limit set (regardless of the time of arrival at the checkpoint). All the competitors knocked out of the race who want to continue the course can continue only after having returned the bib, under their own responsibility and in complete autonomy. In case of bad weather conditions and/or for safety reasons, the organization reserves the right to suspend and/or terminate the race in progress, change the route or modify the time barriers.
PASTA PARTY, SHOWERS AND FINAL REFECTION
The registration fee includes the Pasta party as well as the use of showers/changing rooms (the organization may decide to modify the post-race program based on the progress of the COVID-19 emergency).
ABANDON
Except in the case of serious injury, a competitor must retire to the refreshment points only. The precise list of refreshment points is given in the Road-book of the race. In any case, the competitor must immediately return the bib to the organization. For those who wish, a vehicle from the organization will be made available to take the withdrawn competitor to Corniglio. Don't forget that it could happen that, depending on the conditions of the ride and the point of the route where you retire, the transport times could also be very long. The retired rider is no longer under the control of the organization. In the event of failure to notify a withdrawal and the consequent start of searches for the runner, any resulting expense will be charged to the runner himself.
THE WITHDRAWAL MUST BE COMMUNICATED DIRECTLY TO THE ORGANIZATION. PENALTIES - DISQUALIFICATIONS
The race marshals present on the course and the post chiefs of the control and refreshment points are empowered to enforce the regulation. COMPLAINTS All complaints must be made in writing, deposited with the race coordination with a deposit of € 100.00 (one hundred/00 euros), non-refundable if the complaint is not accepted, within the maximum time of one hour from the arrival of the interested runner.
MANDATORY MATERIAL CONTROL
The obligatory material check during the competition is carried out at the entrance to the starting grid. During the race to all the competitors of the UltraKtrail 32km, in case of lack of material, penalties or disqualifications will be applied depending on the missing material. Refusal to submit to this check during the competition implies the immediate disqualification of the athlete.
The JURY is made up of the president of the organizing company, the race director, all the people chosen for competence by the president and the race director. The jury is empowered to deliberate within a time compatible with the obligations of the race on all complaints formulated during the race. The decisions taken are without appeal.
RACE ROUTE OR TIME BARRIER CHANGES. CANCELLATION OF THE RACE
The organization reserves the right to modify, upon communication before the race or at the time of the briefing, both the route and the location of the first aid and refreshment posts. In the event of unfavorable weather conditions (significant amounts of rain and snow at high altitudes, high risk of thunderstorms, etc.) the departure can be postponed by a maximum of two hours, beyond which the race will be cancelled. In case of bad weather conditions, and for safety reasons, the organization reserves the right to suspend, interrupt or modify the route of the race in progress or to modify the time barriers. Every decision will be made by the race jury. In the event of cancellation of the race due to force majeure, no refund will be due to the participants. In case of interruption or cancellation of the race for atmospheric reasons, or for any other reason independent of the Organization, no refund will be due to the participants.
INSURANCE
Civil liability. The organization subscribes to civil liability insurance for the entire trial period. Participation takes place under the entire responsibility of the competitors, who waive any recourse against the organizers in the event of damages and further consequences that arise following the race. Personal insurance. It is recommended for each competitor to take out personal insurance for accidents and injuries which covers any search and evacuation costs. The insurance can be taken out with an organization of the runner's choice. GUIDE (ROAD-BOOK) A guide will be downloadable from the website www.ultraktrail.it starting from the month of January with the opening of registrations.
